BookArtz Charm Swap

I cut the copper sheet, used my new dividers....straight lines can be a beautiful thing. Then I filed the edges and corners. Drilled holes. Tumbled them. Grabbed some pages from an old book (1920's) and started tearing & burning. The smell of vintage paper burning isn't pleasa… Continue

Layers of Color (Art Stamps) & the Under the Sea Chunky Book

How is the vendor related to the swap you might ask? Well, even though I'm a few miles from the beach, I didn't have anything beach themed in my rubber arsenal. Surfing around I came across their plate of under the sea stamps......and now have that one & the architectural one. I'm a happy girl! So, the backgrounds have begun for the chunky book ;-) And....the architectural stamps are on metal....which will be etched this week and turned into gorgeous jewelry pieces. Woo- hoo! If you DO happ… Continue

Getting Noticed ;-)

Many have heard me say that this group is public for a reason.....one of them is that you can write a blog post about something (review a book, introduce a technique, make an announcement, or all kinds of art related things) and it can be found by search engines. This is now easier. Go to "My Settings" (on the right under your name), click on the "privacy" tab (Look on the left). You'll see a question that says" Do you want to notify 3rd party blog tracking services when you add a new post? CLIC… Continue

Featured Photos

Our photo section currently has 325 really cool pix in it. I love to browse thru the photos. The fact that I can leave a comment on a particular photo is one of the features that I love about this place! But there's also something called "featured photos". It's a small sampling of photos that get their own page here......have you seen it? Click on the italicized words "… Continue

Duh! I was so worried I had missed out on that etched metal. I would love to see a picture of what you make though. I've certainly never done etched metal, not sure what it even looks like.
You bet I told her I was visiting from her ad on BookArtz! I got: Flower child, Fleur Heart, Architectural Blocks, and as my freebie I choose the other Heart set that she has.
I don't have very many stamps and was really wanting some new ones (and more in my style as a lot of mine were given to me).
