Profile Information

About Me:
I am a Canadian mixed media artist, working primarily with textiles. I explore with eccentric style, often with a sense of the absurd, experimenting with colour and form. Using fabrics and found objects, i stitch stories and poetry into unique figures, journals, vessels, garments and wallpieces. I have been lucky enough to trade my art around the world.

Arlee, you augment and destroy well!!! Welcome to BookArtz and it's so good to see you here, there, and everywhere! ;-)) I know everyone here will enjoy seeing your work and getting to know you better.

Is that the piece of lattice above used as a stencil? It made me realize that I seem to have overlooked a LOT of stuff at Home Depot that I could be using for stencils!

Sharon and Stacie, thank you! This piece ("Hugh's Legacy")isn't a journal page or fabric artjournal, but i thought it was a good representation of what i'm doing lately. I don't much care for commercial fabrics or papers and prefer to "augment" (or destroy) them or use them as a base for my own fabric design applications. I also like to use found objects and what my friends consider garbage. I'm just learning to do art books other than just with textiles, though that is always my main medium and passion!
