Profile

About Me:
I'm an eclectic artist who, in the past year, has rediscovered the art of book making and art journaling. I am a member of the BookArtz group on Yahoo, though I don't visit as often as I should (sorry...I DO love that group!) I have a Website and a blog...um...and a Myspace, a Facebook...and the list goes on...
Where I'm from:
Born in Connecticut, raised in Florida and living in Wheeling, WV, USA!
About my Art:
I'll try just about anything, but love working with textures and colors. Visit my Website for more info.
My Favorite Website: (Boast about yours!)
http://fairywebmother.com/
Another Website Favorite: (Yours- a blog?)
http://fairywebmother.blogspot.com/
Where am I going?
I am ever expanding...following my intuition, where ever it wants to go. :)

New Graphics and Cool Link

So, I've been making the easy peasy journal, which I found on YouTube. This link will take you to the artist's blog where she offers great tutes! http://blog.journalgirl.com/video-tutorials.html Beyond that, I've been a little under the weather, so I'm noodling a lot in the computer. Here's one of my latest:

Spring Journal Spread

I found some little, blank books at our local teacher's store. They were 6" x 6", 16 pages and just 85 cents each. Bound with two staples in the middle, they were not fancy, but perfect for sharing art journaling with newbies. I gave a class at my church on simple bookbinding,… Continue

Packing tape transfer.....you know the clear packing tape? Stick it to a photo....burnish well. Soak in water for a few minutes then gently rub the paper off of the back. That's it in a nutshell. Some papers work better than others. I've had success with inkjet prints even, but they were very dry! Thinner paper works better than glossy thicker paper. Give it a go ;-)
