I've been a textile and mixed media artist for a looooong time, but am still unsure of many things to do with book making. What for example is a "deco", a "WOC"? Are spiral binding machines expensive?

I've seen fabric decos, but being fabric challenged myself haven't worked in any.

ROFL- are ya flakey Sandi? Decos aren't scary at all. Although I've lost more than have come home.....or they're just taking a reallllllly long time to return. Maybe because it's not new. I'm going to offer to send you one, but I'm also going to say that I'm really behind in my list of things to do.....but remind me & I'll look for one that's not finished- I'm sure I've got one or two that have work in them so you can see, but not finished- so you can do a page. But you'll have to remind me. I'm still going thru stuff, sorting for the envie I'm sending you....oooo- I could put it into there. Then when you're finished with it you can just send it back. ;-)

*shakes cornflakes out of hair* Flakey? nah...But sure, please do send a deco along. I think it's the childhood ban on marking in books that causes the hiccup...even if the book is made to be marked IN!

Ahhhh but these books are made for that very reason! It would be a sad life for it if it wasn't filled with beautiful creations!

Woops I think I might have been guilty of the WOC acronym. Women Of Courage is just an altered book round robin that I am involved it. I titled it WOC so I could keep it straight from some of my other altered book round robins.
Kinko's does have a binding system. So does Office Depot and I'm guessing Office Max as well. Shop around for the best price though as some charge a lot more than others to bind a book for you. I do not have a binding system and that will probably be my next purchase other than a new external hard drive and a new computer. LOL
