Here are some cool things you can do with PSP. The image below is a tube, created from a photo of Stonehenge. I erased most of the background so I was left with a couple of powerful looking structures. Look closely, and you can see I used the Smudge tool to create a `face' on the block on the left.

Then I used the Smudge tool to `swirl' the base of the monuments. Now - what to do with my interesting image? First I made up a background 600x600 and filled it with Gradient Multi-Aqua from the color palette. Then I chose Polar Co-ordinates from the Effects/Distortion menu.

Now I call up my Stonehenge image and right click on it, and choose `copy'. (making sure foreground and background colours in the Materials palette are both white because the background of my image is white - this will make the background invisible) and right click on my Polar background image - Paste/Paste as Transparent Selection.

It looks like an alien landscape now.

More next time, while I work out what I am going to do with it.

This is FABOO!! I've really been working in my computer, a lot, lately. Getting back to my love for graphics. I'm off to blog about it and add my latest images. There are so many possibilities with a computer and it's nice to see others working in this area. It helps to dispel the myth that the computer does all the work. It takes an artist to create a work like this...the computer only does what we tell it to. Nice work!

Thanks for sharing this step by step. It's very cool and I am enjoying learning what all those other things in the software do!
