So it seems I have an airline ticket I need to use and it occurred to me it might be a good opportunity to take a class or attend a workshop. I've just found the info for Art Unraveled and I'm not far enough into it yet to know if it's too late or not. Are there other classes or workshops you know of that I might consider? I'd like to do something before the end of the year.
Wow, I'm thinking you could take some awesome classes. Figure out what you want to take & check websites. I mean most instructors have something on their site showing where/ when they're teaching- so you could start there. And even if classes are sold out, people have to drop sometimes so you could still grab a spot. I'm green with envy ;-)
It is not too late to register for AU, but some of the classes are filled. We're three weeks out and this is generally when people decide that they can't go so they'll offer class tickets for sale on the Yahoo group. That is also the place to find a roommate. Since it is at an Embassy Suites, it's pretty easy to share a room provided one of you doesn't mind a sofa bed in the living room.
I'll be there on Monday and Tuesday only. But be sure to let me know if you decide to go. I'm trying to talk Julee into going, too.
Lucky you...there are still some open classes...check on the AU website.
If you are going to be at AU stop by and say hello at my Meet the Artist's booth.
Ahhhhh, but if you can go anywhere in the US then the world is STILL your oyster ;-) And you can pick a class that's exactly what YOU want to learn. That's very cool.
True, that. Though I keep having thoughts of flying into Miami and driving from there to Key West. While it may be inspiring, I haven't checked for art classes in the area. ;)
Alicia, The drive to the Keys can be very fun. Make sure you take some of the side roads once in a while too. If you don't already have hotel reservations, my favorite place is the Southernmost hotel. That is opposite the end of the island from Mallory Square ( where you go for the sunset celebration). It's quieter, and all the best art galleries are walking distance. Not to mention the Butterfly place.
Speaking of classes, is anyone going to the "Art Is" thing in CT in October?
