I'm probably the last person in this group to be doing so (LOL!), but I have started some blank journals this past week. I'm keeping one for myself and going to send one to Bookmooch Journals to become a traveling journal........well, at least I hope they'll accept it and it can be mooched. ") I am so hooked on this site! But, I have lots of books to be mooched! I have around 1000 books left over from our homeschooling days. Trouble is I can't even get to half of them right now. Our "library" still has a few trees from the ice storm to be cut up and moved so we can get in............great thing: no roof damage. I can't wait each day to get to my art room...
I have a dear artist friend who keeps telling me: "don't say 'art room'....say 'studio"! Ok, I can't wait to get into my studio each day and work on these journals. It is such a freeing experience...........letting my muse take me wherever it wishes..............I'm lovin' it and trying lots of techniques with these journals. Might post pics of one after it gets mooched. I'm not sure I want to post pics of my personal one...............will have to decide that later.

Hi Sharon...your post about blank journals hit home with me. I have been making paper bag books . I have one pictured on my blog . They are so fun. I have a hard time calling myself an artist or speaking about my "studio" too. Give a look at my blog if you are interested.

Alrighty then, I have not made a journal or a paperbag book so I think I'm the last. I have made an accordion book if that counts LOL
Wow, I have two journals, one for art which is sadly missing in the art area but it has lots of words; and one for words which isn't getting a lot of love right now either. I know how important journals are but I have been neglecting mine of late. Maybe I should just print out blog posts and paste them in LOL.

Great idea, Christy! Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. ") I haven't written in my daughters' journals (3) since the deep of winter. I also have one for my granddaughter. And I keep another one for myself........memories. I try to make my grandsons & gdaughter a photo album of themselves every year or two with lots of journaling in them. I find that I want to work on art projects or read books more than I want to write. Also, once I start writing, I just go on and on................kind of like my talking!

I'm with you on the talking/writing. Once you get me started it's on and on an on...
I think that you are journaling for your daughters is such a fabulous thing. I know that my daughter has read my journals here and there and it's funny to hear her reactions. I think though that as she marries and has children and goes through those insecure moments she can grab one and read it and maybe feel better knowing mom had them too?! Or that is my hope anyway.

Definitely! That's my hope for my girls, too. My eldest has no children and is not planning on any.....she'll be 40 next January. (Yikes! how did that happen......I thought I was 40!!! LOL) But, she is truly an artist and I hope she'll be able to read my journal to her and my art journals and relate to me a little.......sometimes I think that she thinks I'm really am just "artsy fartsy"! ") My other two girls have children and I'm sure they'll be able to relate to many things I 'm writing in the journals. ")
